Skin tags are small, benign (non-cancerous) growths that commonly appear on the skin. They are typically soft, flesh-colored, and have a thin stalk attaching them to the skin.

Electrocautery is technique that uses heat generated by an electric current to cut, coagulate, or destroy tissue.

An electrocautery device consists of an electrical generator and a surgical electrode. The generator produces an electric current, which is transmitted to the electrode. When the electrode touches tissue, it heats up and cauterizes it.
